Actor, director, screenwriter, member of the Union of Filmmakers from Moldova.
He studied at the Art Institute in Chisinau, the the Directing department. As an actor he worked in many theaters in Chisinau and in the „MOSSOVET” theater in Moscow. He continued his studies in film directing and screenwriting in Moscow. He debuted with „ Hai, Murgule, hai „ in 1988. He has made several documentaries and many feature film scenarios.
Currently he is a lecturer at the Department of „Multimedia” at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts of Moldova.

ADA SOLOMON
Romania

Producer, film distributor and cinema manager. With an experience of over 20 years in cinema, she is one of the most active filmmakers of the New Wave of Romanian cinema. Currently she runs HiFilm Productions, one of the highest rated production studios in Romania. At HiFilm, Ada Solomon produced many long and short films, winning numerous international awards. The film „Position Child”, directed by Calin Peter Netzer, producer Ada Solomon, took the Golden Bear at Berlinale 2013. Ada Solomon is the founder and director of Next International Film Festival in Bucharest.

JACEK PETRYCKI
Poland

Director of Photography, member of the Polish Academy of Film.
In 1976, he graduated from the National Film School in Łódź, Faculty of Photography. His filmography consist of over 100 movies, many of them winning international prizes. He worked with many prominent polish filmmakers such as Krzysztof Kieślowski, Marcel Lozinski and others. In 2010, he received the Silver Medal “Gloria Artist”.

ZVIAD DOLIDZE
Georgia

Film historian and film critic, Doctor in Film Studies, full professor at Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgian State University, member of the Georgian Union of Filmmakers.
The leader of World Cinema Direction at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, Tbilisi. Between 2004 and 2008, he was a Member of Georgian Parliament and member of the Commission for Education, Science, Culture and Sport. Zviad Dolidze is author of several TV programs about cinema created for Georgian TV stations. He is also the author of four books on art cinema.

WERNER RUŽIČKA
Germany

Director and Program Director of Duisburg Documentary Film Festival.
Studied literature, philosophy and media at Ruhr University in Bochum. Worked from 1974 to 1985 as author and producer of documentaries. Director of Duisburger Filmwoche, the festival of german languaged documentaries, since 1985. Held courses for Goethe Institutes in India, China, Yugoslawia and Israel. Teaches film at the film academies of Munich and Hamburg.

ECATERINA DIMANCEA DUMBRĂVEANU

Moldova / Romania

PhD holder in film and media, with a thesis entitled „The History of Romanian Documentary. Romanian Documentary in the 80-90 ‚, held at the University of Theatre and Film „I. L. Caragiale” in Bucharest. In the same university she has graduated from the Faculty of Audiovisual Communication, MA - Audiovisual Communication in the Context of Globalization. During 2000-2005 he was editor and documentarist at the National Film Archives of the Romanian Cinematheque. Project Coordinator of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Bucharest and currently works as the main referent in the „Mihai Eminescu” RCI in Chisinau.

DAN CUREAN
Romania

MatvieWorks in the media starting 1990. Starting 1994 is a worker in the field of public television, Cluj regional studio. Working as cinematographer, as well in the editorial segment as producer, and documentary filmmaker.
Part of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Theatre and Television at UBB since it’s beginning in 2005. In 2012 he has earned his PhD in Photography .
Collaborates with some of major broadcasters in Europe. His filmography includes documentary productions winnig numerous awards at festivals in Romania and Europe.

ADELA MATVIEVICI
Moldova

Producer. Has graduated from Moldova’s State University, faculty of Journalism and had courses in directing with the participation of teachers from the Academy of Theatre and Film „I.L. Caragiale’’ in Bucharest. Nowaday she is the director of MoldCinema. Organizer of the National Cinematheque and Cineart Club. Adela Matvievici organizes the International Film Festival for Children „From Piatra Neamt to Moldova”.

DORIN SCOBIOALĂ

Republic of Moldova

Earned his degree in Journalism, graduating from Babeş-Bolyai University, from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Department of Political and Administrative Studies. Dorin has a huge experience as a reporter, special correspondent editor, news producer author of numerous TV shows. He has collaborated with Associated Press, CNN World Report, ARD. Nowadays, he is the General Director of CAT Studio, instructor at the Advanced School of Journalism, correspondent at Reuters Television (London) and Antena 3 (Bucharest).

ELENA PAHOMOVA
Republic of Moldova

Has graduated from Moldova’s State University, Department of Journalism and has studied Plastic Arts as well. Has over 15 years of experience as a reporter on television, and a talk-show host. At this moment she is a program manager at Publika TV – channel afiliate of CNN.

ANDREI DUMBRĂVEANU
Republic of Moldova

Is a PhD holder at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies of Moldova’s State University. Director of documentary movies, member of the Union of Filmmakers and a member of Romania’s UARF.
